Accelerate recovery from stroke and neurological disorders
Able-X is specially designed for people with stroke and neurological disorders. It is a concentration and arm exercise system using computer games to keep the user fully absorbed and entertained. The system complements traditional therapy and can be used in the any environment, including at home.
Requirements to use system are: the user need some movement of the affected arm; device can be used while standing or sitting; user should build up to 1 hour training per day; computer is required to use the system.
Able-X costs NZ$850 + GST + postage and includes five specifically designed games (games are designed to switch concentration "midpoint between eyes" as many times as possible), a "computer air mouse" and a supporting handle.
